Trimming and cleaning audio tracks in WavePad (including the LT version) allows you to remove unwanted silence, cut out mistakes, and improve sound quality. Trimming Tracks
Manual Trim: Open your audio file, click and drag your mouse across the waveform to select a section, and press Delete or Cut (Ctrl+X) to remove it.
AutoTrim: Select the Trim button in the edit toolbar and choose “Autotrim silence from the start and end of the file” to instantly remove leading/trailing silence.
Trim Silence: To remove all silence throughout a file, use the trim silences option and adjust the silence threshold and length settings.
Trim Selection: Use the “Trim Delete all but the current selection” option to keep only the selected section of the track. Cleaning and Enhancing Tracks
Remove Noise: Go to the Tools tab and select “Noise Cleanup” to reduce unwanted background hiss or hum.
Adjust Volume: Access the Levels tab and select “Amplify” to adjust the volume of the track.
Adjust Frequency: Use the equalizer in the Levels tab to adjust bass, mid, and treble.
Add Fades: Navigate to the Effects tab and select the fade dropdown to add a fade-in at the start or a fade-out at the end.
Apply Effects: Use the Effects tab to add effects like echo and reverb for a more polished sound. Saving Your Work After editing, return to the Home tab and click Save.
Choose your desired file format and adjust encoder settings before finalizing the save.
